REJECT REASONS A list (though not exhaustive) of reasons of why and how a lead can be rejected is provided as per below: 1) The lead is a duplicate of one already received by your centre or is an existing client 2) The customer doesn’t want to go ahead with getting a loan 3) Shared ownership of property from joint mortgage payers living in separate places 4) LTV too high 5) Lead doesn’t speak English 6) Wrong criteria – too young, too old, not employed, not a mortgage payer, house is owned by the Council etc 7) The lead is drunk or mentally impaired 8) Customer doesn’t agree to minimum term of 5 years 9) The customer just wanted a quotation but not a loan 10) The customer doesn’t have a mortgage (can be checked by Client on land registry) 11) If a prospect states he has already been accepted for a loan with a high street bank or building society 12) The customer is quoted a rate by the loan officer but doesn’t want to apply as the rate is too high 13) Customer has more than 2 missed payments on their mortgage in last 6 months
Further notes: The first question the loan advisor will ask of the lead is “I understand you’re interested in applying for finance” or “I understand you’re interested in a loan to consolidate your existing debts” or “I understand you’re interested in a loan for a new car” whatever the reason the lead wants a loan, it will be mentioned, but we need a YES at this stage from the customer. If the customer answers YES, we will then match their criteria against the above details, if all match, then the lead is payable. If a customer just wants a quotation, then the following process is followed: 1) A quotation will be sent out by mail within 24-48hrs 2) The lead will be in Pending Quote Sent status UNLESS the customer returns the quotation signed (example copy attached) then it will revert to payable. Please note this is not the loan agreement, it’s a quotation. Information on quote only: If a lead required a quotation only, as mentioned above, we will send out the quotation in writing. For the first week Client will chase these quotations, should the quote slip not be signed and sent back in the freepost envelope then centre partners can at that point chase these quotation leads themselves.
